- Time to say goodbye to the students in the Department of English and American Studies
- Dear students,
- As many of you know, I have now retired after 33 years of being a Lektor in our department. In fact, today is the first day of my retirement – and see: I’m still thinking of you! To keep it short, I would just like to say goodbye, and to thank the many students whom I have met and taught over the years. I can honestly say that I really enjoyed the teaching aspect of being a Lektor, and am grateful for the stimulation I received from being constantly around young people. Indeed, the only thing concerns me just a little is that now that I have retired, my contact group has doubled – or even trebled – in age! So it only remains for me to say thank you to you all, to say “goodbye” and to wish you all the very best in your future careers, whichever paths you mayhave chosen to go down.
