The McKitterick Prize is named after the late Tom McKitterick, the editor of Political Quaterly who has also written an unpublished novel and endowed this prize. It is administrated by the Society of Authors, a non-profit making organization. It is awarded annually for a first novel (published or unpublished) by an author over the age of 40. In June 2007, Reina James won the McKitterick Prize for This Time of Dying. The laureate gets £4000. For getting more information about entry procedures, have a look at the application form: [1]
