A Look Back: Literature and Pedagogy, 1908 and 1934:

Before reading the texts below, please take your time and put down your idea of

- why we should read literature in school

- how it should be taught or read in school and

- what you consider good literature education.

Just take about ten minutes to think about this and take down some notes. You do not need to write a whole text.
