Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit is a debut novel written by Jeanette Winterson and published by Pandora Press in 1985.


Inviting biographical reading, the novel portrays the struggles of teenage protagonist Jeanette who is stigmatized by her evangelist step-parents on behalf of her lesbian love.
