I would like to read both Boccacio's and Chaucer's versions of the Griseldis-Story with you. Boccaccio offered this story as the last novel of the last (the tenth) day. You can read two different English versions (a 17th and a 20t-century one) at:

For those who missed the session: We actually managed to read both Boccaccio's and Chaucer's version of Griselda's story and discussed the different endings with a special focus on the framework commentary both stories received by their authors.

Ihr Lieben,

ich hatte mich zwar auf den heutigen Abend gefreut, an dem ich mit Euch in eine Chaucer Geschichte und in die neue 1001-Nacht Übersetzung hineinlesen wollte, muß das aber, nachdem ich mir einen saftigen Schnupfen einfing, stornieren.

Nächste Stunde wollte und will ich eine Erzählung des 16. Jahrhunderts mit einer Bearbeitung des 18. vergleichen, Textmaterialien will ich dazu noch rechtzeitig bei Wersig bereitstellen,

tut mir leid, 
ich wünsche mir selbst gute Besserung,
