&lt;div&gt;&#039;&#039;&#039;John Llewellyn Rhys Prize&#039;&#039;&#039;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
- a British based literary prize.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
- established in 1942 by Jane Oliver to commemorate her late husband John Llewellyn Rhys, a young author who had been killed in the Second World War.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
- presented for the best work of literature from Briatain or the Commonwealth written by an author under 35.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
- since 2003 the prize has been run by Booktrust, an independent educational charity.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
- Zadie Smith`s &#039;&#039;White Teeth&#039;&#039; was shortlisted for the John Llewellyn Rhys Prize in 2002.&lt;br /&gt;
