I must say that I had been disappointed with the showerheads that I had tried before. Most were too weak, and really it"s hard for a big dude to feel really clean with a measly dribble for his shower. I really did not have big expectations for this Spashower5+, but I was really surprised. I tried it at first just the way it comes (very nicely packaged in a nice cushy box - none of that plastic blister pack that requires the jaws of life to open! Box and inside packing showed the care the company has to protect and care for their products - almost like opening an iphone or something!

Anyways, it comes with the USA-mandated energy-saving flow thingy installed, and I tried it like that. Helpful illustrated instructions made the job really easy, although they were really detailed and overkilled with safety and common sense stuff. I guess it never hurts to put all that in writing? Really the shower was pretty good right out of the box. But this is America and Americans always need more POWER. So I flipped over the instructions to see how to remove the restrictor. Clear and easy to follow, and I was able to do it in 5 minutes with just a jumbo paper clip! No special tools or swear words needed.

I gotta tell you, this thing can BLOW YOU AWAY. I have decent water pressure, and I think that the massage setting may have been strong enough to leave a (very manly) set of bruises. Holy power-shower, Batman! If you are sick of weak, wimpy showers, this Vida AlegrÍa Spashower 5+ is your ticket to paradise! Not only that, but the settings are truly settings, all different. Now I feel clean and pounded from my shower - perfect after a long day"s work!

P.S. Don"t be freaked out by the water-saver setting. You have 3 basic settings plus 2 mixed settings, but at one end flow shuts almost down to nothing. This unique More about this shower head product article has diverse witty warnings for the inner workings of this view. I called the phone number on the box and a very friendly person at the company told me this was the Plus setting, an extra water-saver that is good for RVers and those with long hair. I don"t have either of those things, but no biggie. Just know that the thing is meant to work like that. It"s a "feature" and not a bug LMAO..
